Single family home (villas) and two family homes (attached on one side) make up the majority of homes in Kochav Yaakov. These homes are built as one floor or split level 3 bedroom homes with the option of opening up the upper floor (floors) as the needs of the family grow. Some families have opted to create rentable apartments in the additional living space.
One of Kochav Yaakov’s major selling points is the value you can get for your money of the housing market. A three bedroom duplex cottage (with unfinished upper levels) rents for about $600 a month and sells for close to $190,000. These are the places where many young couples start out as these neighborhoods offer very low cost caravans (i.e. approximately $100/month).
Tel Zion:
A hareidi (ultra-orthodox) neighborhood built right next to Kochav Yaakov which is made up of apartment buildings.
