Kochav Yaakov is strategically located just e few minutes from Jerusalem and in general is considered a very safe place to live. The roads leading to the yishuv are well traveled and there is an army base right next to us which is constantly keeping an eye on our roads and community.

Aside for the army security we also have several other precautionary measures in place designed to thwart any possible threats including a round the clock high-tech security system.

Additionally, all people/vehicles entering the yishuv are checked and a highly trained « first-response » team is always available to respond to any threats.

Kochav Yaakov is a model community in that it is considered one of the safest yishuvim to live in in terms of security and almost non-existent crime rate, so much so, that parents feel very comfortable with their children walking freely in the yishuv even at later hours. The only way to truly understand what its like to live in a « safe » community, one must experience the daily life in Kochav Yaakov!
